Sunday 9th December, National Express launched a brand-new web portal, bringing together its extensive portfolio of travel services. The portal enables visitors to access all of the National Express services; from coach and train travel to airport transfers. By integrating the group of travel companies under a unified branded portal, customers to the site will now will now be able to plan their journeys more effectively and efficiently.
CADinteractive, after having successfully launched National Express’s airport shuttle service, Dot2dot, in November, was appointed to design, test and build an engaging and interactive website that streamlined the various travel services that the National Express Group operates. CADinteractive prototyped three solutions, put them to the test with nationwide coach, train and bus travellers, refined the solutions and then delivered the site ready for Sunday’s launch.
Kevin Milnes, head of e-commerce, National Express, said: “The launch of the new portal has been an exciting and challenging project. We have been consistently impressed with CADinteractive who have seamlessly delivered a completely new IA, brand and design to a site that had previously been purely for coach customers. CADinteractive’s UCD methodology was central to the success of this project and I look forward to a continuing relationship with the team.”
Chris Averill, managing director, CADinteractive explains the project; “By implementing our proven approach to both design and testing we were able to deliver the project on time and to budget. Our ability to understand both business and customer requirements in equal measure ensured another successful site launch.”
