Media strategy consultancy Decipher and Usability specialist CADinteractive have launched destatic - a ground breaking consultancy service aimed at future proofing brands for the evolving TV landscape.
Background
2007 is seeing a new and unique form of screen based media concept emerge. Bringing together the best of the internet and TV industries the new concepts are truly groundbreaking. This trend is seeing existing broadcast media companies launching new internet propositions, and new internet companies entering the TV market. Between them they are creating an industry that sits in the middle between web and traditional TV. This new 'middle-media' is an opportunity to define markets and propositions.
destatic will be an implementation partner for companies launching new screen based media concepts. It will support clients from the first idea, through the complex process of defining and creating successful consumer concepts.
For new launch services, the destatic offer is intended to support clients from propostion development and platform specification to information architecture and interface design.
For recently launched concepts, Destatic will work to review and refine propositions as they evolve based on early usage patterns and initial consumer research.
The People
Jointly headed by CADinteractive's Amir Karim and Decipher’s Omar Bakhshi, the new venture will have access to the skills and resources of the two parent companies. Both Decipher and CAD have significant experience of working with companies to bring new screen based concepts to market. Omar Bakhshi said that for this new venture they are bringing together a decade of experience in emerging media concepts. “The combination of Decipher and CAD staff brings together a unique set of skills and experience in concepts, functionality and interfaces”.
CADInteractive’s Chris Averill said “There is a massive gap in the market for companies that understand this emerging opportunity. There are very few companies that can hold a client’s hand through every stage of this”
Decipher’s Nigel Walley said “This JV makes perfect sense for both of us. We have traditionally worked at different ends of the process. We will be able to partner clients from first thoughts through to successful launch”.
